About Lawrence
I am a fourth-year clinical psychology doctoral candidate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have worked in hospitals, community mental health centers, and forensic settings with clients of all ages experiencing a wide range of mental health struggles and varying degrees of acuity. My experiences (professional and personal) allow me to see my clients as authentic and unique beings each with their own sense of identity and experiences that contribute to their development. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and my cat, watching movies, creating art, playing video games, and traveling.
I work well with all age ranges and couples at various stages in their mental health journey. As a person of color, I have an awareness of multicultural factors, the ways they intersect, and how they can impact various experiences. I tend to draw on not only my training but also my personal experiences in my work with clients.
I am interested in working with individuals and couples experiencing mood disorders (anxiety, depression), personality disorders (dependent, narcissistic), identity development concerns, trauma, adjustment and relational difficulties, and grief/loss.
